Klamath Union Pelicans (Klamath Falls, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Illinois Valley Cougars (Cave Junction, OR), 23-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Pelicans now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Hidden Valley for a 4A Skyline challenge on Saturday, April 6.

With the loss, Illinois Valley falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Riddle (Riddle, OR) to battle the Irish in a 2A/1A-SD6 Special District 6 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Irish enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
