Nordonia Knights (Macedonia, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mount de Sales Academy Sailors (Catonsville, MD), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ohio County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Nordonia will face a Eagles squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Hancock County (Lewisport, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Mount de Sales Academy falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Sailors travel to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. North Lincoln won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Randolph (Randolph, NY)
