South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting University School of Jackson Bruins (Jackson, TN), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Obion County for a 3A District 13 challenge on Thursday, April 4. South Gibson will face a Rebels squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN). The Rebels record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, University School of Jackson falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bruins host Jackson South Side (Jackson, TN) to face the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 1-5.
