The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Sterlington Panthers (Sterlington, LA) and the host Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA), saw Sterlington's baseball team gain a win over Franklin Parish by a tally of 16-3.
The Panthers (20-5) will now prepare for their battle against Mangham (Mangham, LA). The Dragons enter the non-league battle with a 8-12 record. In their last battle, Mangham was overwhelmed by St. Frederick (Monroe, LA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Patriots face the Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA) in a 4A District 2 battle, on Thursday, April 3. Franklin Parish will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 4-18 record after their 11-8 non-league loss to Lakeside (Sibley, LA).
