With the triumph, Portland advances its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Raiders host Lansing Christian (Lansing, MI) to clash with the Pilgrims in a non-league test on Thursday, April 3. The Pilgrims come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Lions now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Springport for a non-league test on Monday, April 7. Maple Valley will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Dansville (Dansville, MI). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
