The Ephrata Mountaineers triumphed over the visiting J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado softball squad by a count of 14-9 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountaineers play the Lebanon Cedars (Lebanon, PA) in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 challenge, on Wednesday, April 2. Ephrata will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cedars enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Eastern Lebanon County (Myerstown, PA).

The Red Tornado (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Warwick (Lititz, PA). The Warriors enter the Lancaster-Lebanon Section 1 challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Warwick edged Manheim Central (Manheim, PA), 11-2, in a non-league challenge.
