The Hutsonville/Palestine Tigers softball squad (Palestine, IL), was routed 6-1 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the host Newton Eagles (Newton, IL)

With the triumph, Newton improves its record to 7-0 on the year. The Eagles travel to Edwards County (Albion, IL) to face the Lions in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 3.
