Angola Hornets (Angola, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Eastside for a Northeast Corner challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Angola will face a Blazers squad coming off a 18-13 non-league win over Hicksville (Hicksville, OH). The Blazers record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, DeKalb falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Barons host Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (Fort Wayne, IN) to face the Saints in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Saints enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger lost 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Leo (Leo, IN)
