DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they host Center Hill for a 6A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. DeSoto Central will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-8.
With the loss, Booneville falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Nettleton (Nettleton, MS) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 14-7.
