Polk County Wildcats (Benton, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Brainerd Panthers (Chattanooga, TN), 19-3 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences for a 2A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Polk County will face a Patriots squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Chattanooga Central (Harrison, TN). The Patriots record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Brainerd falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lookout Valley (Chattanooga, TN) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 19. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 6-7.
