Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mountaineers now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Stuart W. Cramer for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. Kings Mountain will battle a Storm squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Storm record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Cherryville falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Ironmen travel to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC) to battle the Rams in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Highland Tech lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Burns (Lawndale, NC)
