Doyle Tigers (Livingston, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 19-11 record. They take the field next when they host Ponchatoula for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Doyle will battle a Green Wave squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Green Wave record now stands at 21-11.

With the loss, Northshore falls to 13-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host De La Salle (New Orleans, LA) to battle the Cavalier in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Cavalier enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. De La Salle won 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA)
