The North Duplin Rebels softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Eastern Wayne Warriors to 0 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, North Duplin improves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Rebels travel to Lakewood (Roseboro, NC) to clash with the Leopards in a Carolina 1A game on Tuesday, April 18. The Leopards come into the game with a record of 4-8. Lakewood lost 11-1 in their recent league game against Union (Rose Hill, NC)

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Goldsboro Cougars (Goldsboro, NC) in a Neuse Six 2A game, on Tuesday, April 18. Eastern Wayne will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 5-5 record after their 21-5 league loss to Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC).
