Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beecher for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15.

With the loss, Fieldcrest falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Knights host Heyworth (Heyworth, IL) to face the Hornets in a Heart of Illinois challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Heyworth won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against LeRoy (LeRoy, IL)
