The Fulton Steamers softball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Mercer County Golden Eagles to 6 in the Steamers non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Fulton moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Steamers host Galena (Galena, IL) to clash with the Pirates in a NUIC West game on Tuesday, April 11. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 5-2. Galena lost 8-0 in their recent non-league game against Morrison (Morrison, IL)

In their next game, the Golden Eagles clash with the Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, April 12. Mercer County will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Pioneers come into the game with a 0-6 record after their 5-4 league loss to Quincy (Quincy, IL).
