Holmen Vikings (Holmen, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau Red Hawks (Galesville, WI), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Tomah for a Mississippi Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Holmen will battle a Timberwolves squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Baraboo (Baraboo, WI). The Timberwolves record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Red hawks travel to Arcadia (Arcadia, WI) to battle the Raiders in a Coulee challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Arcadia lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Westby (Westby, WI)
