Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles (Lake Station, IN), 24-5 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host River Forest for a Greater South Shore challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Griffith will battle a Ingots squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN). The Ingots record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Lake Station Edison falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Fighting eagles travel to Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN) to battle the Vikings in a Greater South Shore challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Illiana Christian won 24-1 in their recent league challenge against Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN)
