Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts (Kaukauna, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Valders Vikings (Valders, WI), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Galloping Ghosts now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oshkosh West for a Fox Valley Association challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Kaukauna will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Valders falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Two Rivers (Two Rivers, WI) to face the Purple Raiders in a Eastern Wisconsin challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Purple Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
