The Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) softball routed the visiting St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL), 6-1 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Griffins (7-1) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Knights go into the SouthWest Suburban bout with a 5-3 record. In their last bout, Lincoln-Way Central held off Lockport (Lockport, IL), 4-3, in a league bout.
The Fighting Saints now possess a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Downers Grove South for a non-league bout on Wednesday, April 12. St. Charles East will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Minooka (Minooka, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-1.
