The Madison Mohawks softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Monroe Hornets to 9 in the Mohawks non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Madison improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Mohawks travel to Preble Shawnee (Camden, OH) to clash with the Arrows in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 12. The Arrows come into the game with a record of 1-4. Preble Shawnee lost 3-1 in their recent league game against Tri-County North (Lewisburg, OH)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH) in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern game, on Tuesday, April 11. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Lumberjacks come into the game with a 0-3 record after their 14-5 league loss to Valley View (Germantown, OH).
