The Magnolia Blue Eagles (New Martinsville, WV) softball nipped the visiting Williamstown Yellowjackets (Williamstown, WV), 6-5 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Blue Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against St. Marys (St. Marys, WV). The Blue Devils go into the non-league bout with a 14-1 record. In their last bout, St. Marys held off Wirt County (Elizabeth, WV), 18-0, in a league bout.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 4-9 record. They play next when they travel to Ritchie County for a Little Kanawha bout on Tuesday, April 11. Williamstown will confront a Rebels squad coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The Rebels record now stands at 6-5.
