The Newark Norsemen softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Princeton Tigers to 6 in the Norsemen non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Newark moves its record to 11-0 on the year. The Norsemen travel to Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL) to clash with the Timberwolves in a Little Ten game on Wednesday, April 12. The Timberwolves come into the game with a record of 3-4. Indian Creek won 13-1 in their recent league game against Earlville (Earlville, IL)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) in a Three Rivers East game, on Tuesday, April 11. Princeton will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Boilermakers come into the game with a 6-0 record after their 9-2 non-league win over ROWVA (Oneida, IL).
