Valley View Spartans (Germantown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Oakwood Lumberjacks (Dayton, OH), 14-5 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brookville for a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Valley View will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 13-5 non-league loss to Waynesville (Waynesville, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Oakwood falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Monroe (Monroe, OH) to face the Hornets in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Monroe lost 16-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Madison (Middletown, OH)
