Winamac Warriors (Winamac, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Rochester for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Winamac will battle a Zebras squad coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Carroll (Flora, IN). The Zebras record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Rensselaer Central falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bombers host West Central (Francesville, IN) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. West Central won 19-4 in their recent non-league challenge against North White (Monon, IN)
