North Carolina High School Softball - Anson knocked off by Covenant Day

April 10, 2024: Wadesboro, NC 28170

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) softball team overwhelmed the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), by a margin of 18-6.

With the triumph, Covenant Day moves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Lions host Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC) to face the Buccaneers in a NCISAA Charlotte match on Friday, April 12. The Buccaneers go into the match with a record of 1-8. Charlotte Country Day School lost 17-0 in their recent league match against Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC)

With the loss, Anson moves to 2-12 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Parkwood (Monroe, NC) to face the Wolf Pack in a Rocky River 2A/3A match on Thursday, April 11. The Wolf Pack go into the match with a record of 8-4. Parkwood lost 4-3 in their recent league match against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)
