Belton-Honea Path Bears (Honea Path, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Dorman Cavaliers (Roebuck, SC), 12-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Fountain Inn for a AAA Region 2 challenge on Friday, April 12. Belton-Honea Path will face a Fury squad coming off a 14-2 league loss to Powdersville (Greenville, SC). The Fury record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Dorman falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Gaffney (Gaffney, SC) to face the Indians in a AAAAA Region 2 challenge on Friday, April 12. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 11-6. Gaffney won 12-4 in their recent non-league challenge against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)
