Illinois High School Softball - Monticello bounces Clinton

The Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) softball the visiting Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), 5-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Sages (11-8) will now prepare for their bout against Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL). The Rockets go into the Illini Prairie bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, Tolono Unity held off Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL), 15-0, in a non-league bout.

The Maroons now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Central A & M for a Central Illinois bout on Friday, April 12. Clinton will confront a Raiders squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 6-7.
