Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), 7-4 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thomas Stone for a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, April 17.

With the loss, McDonough falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Westlake (Waldorf, MD) to battle the Wolverines in a Southern Maryland challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Wolverines go into the match with a record of 0-6. Westlake lost 15-0 in their recent league match against North Point (Waldorf, MD)
