St. Charles North North Stars (St. Charles, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The North Stars now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheaton North for a DuKane challenge on Friday, April 12. St. Charles North will face a Falcons squad coming off a 14-5 non-league win over Metea Valley (Aurora, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Lincoln-Way East falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Andrew (Tinley Park, IL) to face the Thunderbolts in a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Thunderbolts enter the challenge with a record of 12-1. Andrew won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Lockport (Lockport, IL)
