Ohio High School Baseball - Elgin defeats Mt. Gilead

The Elgin Comets baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Mt. Gilead Indians to 2 in the Comets non-league win on Thursday.

The Comets now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Colonel Crawford for a non-league test on Friday, April 11. Elgin will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 14-4 league loss to Upper Sandusky (Upper Sandusky, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Mt. Gilead drops to 1-6 on the year. The Indians host Northmor (Galion, OH) to clash with the Golden Knights in a Knox Morrow Athletic test on Friday, April 11. The Golden Knights go into the test with a record of 3-4. Northmor won 12-7 in their recent league test against East Knox (Howard, OH)
