In Thursday's non-league game, the host John Jay Patriots baseball team scored a close 10-4 victory over the Lakeland Hornets.

The Patriots now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host New Rochelle for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 12. John Jay will clash with a Huguenots team coming off a 19-0 non-league loss to North Rockland (Thiells, NY). The Huguenots record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Lakeland drops to 2-3 on the year. The Hornets host Troy (Troy, NY) to clash with the Flying Horses in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 12.
