The Walnut Wildcats baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Middleton Tigers to 0 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.

The Wildcats now own a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they host Hatley for a 2A Region 1 test on Friday, April 11. Walnut will play a Tigers team coming off a 17-5 league win over Walnut (Walnut, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 11-13.

With the defeat, Middleton drops to 5-9 on the year. The Tigers host Bradford (Bradford, TN) to play the Red Devils in a 1A District 13 test on Monday, April 14. The Red Devils go into the test with a record of 10-8. Bradford lost 10-5 in their recent non-league test against McKenzie (McKenzie, TN)
