The St. Francis Mariners baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Milwaukee Riverside Tigers to 1 in the Mariners non-league win on Thursday.
The Mariners now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Luther Prep for a Midwest Classic test on Monday, April 14. St. Francis will play a Phoenix team coming off a 15-7 non-league loss to Winnebago Lutheran Academy (Fond du Lac, WI). The Phoenix record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Milwaukee Riverside drops to 0-2 on the year. The Tigers travel to Milwaukee School of Languages (Milwaukee, WI) to play the Hawks in a test on Tuesday, April 22. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 2-0.
