North Carolina High School Baseball - Porter Ridge sneaks past Parkwood

The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the visiting Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC), saw Porter Ridge's baseball team get by Parkwood by a tally of 2-1.
The Pirates (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans enter the Southern Carolina 4A battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Sun Valley held off Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 1-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Wolf Pack face the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) in a Rocky River 2A/3A battle, on Monday, April 14. Parkwood will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 8-11 record after their 11-0 league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).
