In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host St. John-Vianney Lancers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Liberty Lions.

The Lancers (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ). The Hornets enter the Shore - B North challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Holmdel got by Middletown South (Middletown, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Pinelands Regional Wildcats (Tuckerton, NJ) in a Shore - B South challenge, on Friday, April 11. Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Barnegat (Barnegat, NJ).
