North Carolina High School Baseball - Ayden - Grifton sneaks past SouthWest Edgecombe

The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) and the host SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), saw Ayden - Grifton's baseball team get by SouthWest Edgecombe by a tally of 7-6.

The Chargers (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Princeton (Princeton, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Princeton held off North Johnston (Kenly, NC), 15-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Cougars face the Washington Pam Pack (Washington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, April 15. SouthWest Edgecombe will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Pam Pack enter the battle with a 5-7 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC).
