Virginia High School Soccer - Galileo nudges Surry County

Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Galileo Falcons (Danville, VA) and the host Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA), saw Galileo's soccer squad hold off Surry County by a count of 2-1.
The Falcons (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Governors enter the Dogwood battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Nelson County tipped Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA) in a Tri-Rivers battle, on Tuesday, April 22. Surry County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Broncos enter the battle with a 1-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Southampton (Courtland, VA).
