The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ) and the host Academy of St. Elizabeth Panthers (Convent Station, NJ), observed Newark Academy's softball team prevail over Academy of St. Elizabeth by a tally of 14-2.

The Minutemen (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Ridgers go into the SEC - Liberty bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Glen Ridge knocked off Montclair Kimberley Academy (Montclair, NJ), 17-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Morristown-Beard Crimson (Morristown, NJ) in a NJAC - Independence bout, on Monday, April 14. Academy of St. Elizabeth will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Crimson go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 16-6 non-league loss to Parsippany (Parsippany, NJ).
