The Maumelle Hornets the host Bauxite Miners softball squad by a count of 5-3 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets play the Greenbrier Panthers (Greenbrier, AR) in a 5A Central challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Maumelle will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 18-13 league loss to Vilonia (Vilonia, AR).
The Miners (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Malvern (Malvern, AR). The Leopards enter the non-league challenge with a 11-4 record. In their last challenge, Malvern edged Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR), 21-0, in a league challenge.
