The Sycamore Spartans overwhelmed the host Belvidere North Blue Thunder softball squad by a count of 13-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans meet the Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 11. Sycamore will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 17-2 league win over Woodstock (Woodstock, IL).
The Blue Thunder (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL). The Cavaliers go into the non-league challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, LaSalle-Peru toppled Newark (Newark, IL), 13-3, in a non-league challenge.
