In Thursday's non-league match, the host Champaign Central Maroons softball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Lincoln Railsplitters.
The Maroons (7-0) will now prepare for their match against Manual (Peoria, IL). The Rams go into the Big Twelve match with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Railsplitters battle the Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 12. Lincoln will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Eagles go into the match with a 10-3 record after their 4-0 league win over Limestone (Bartonville, IL).
