The Clay Panthers overwhelmed the visiting Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays softball squad by a count of 9-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers meet the Oak Hill Oaks (Oak Hill, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 11. Clay will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Oaks go into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 22-5 league win over South Gallia (Crown City, OH).
The Blue Jays (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Peebles (Peebles, OH). The Indians go into the Southern Hills Athletic challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Peebles toppled Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH), 7-6, in a league challenge.
