The Pecos Panthers triumphed over the visiting Mescalero Apache Chiefs softball squad by a count of 18-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers play the McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 12. Pecos will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 12-11 non-league win over To'hajiilee (To'hajiilee, NM).
The Chiefs (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM). The Horsemen enter the non-league challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, St. Michael's overcame McCurdy (Espanola, NM), 13-1, in a non-league challenge.
