In Friday's non-league game, the host Cullman Bearcats baseball team scored a close 6-0 victory over the Mountain Brook Spartans.
The Bearcats (18-4) will now prepare for their game against Mortimer Jordan (Kimberly, AL). The Blue Devils enter the 6A Area 13 game with a 24-5 record. In their last game, Mortimer Jordan held off Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL), 13-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Spartans face the Jasper Vikings (Jasper, AL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 14. Mountain Brook will attempt to improve on its 23-5 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 8-18 record after their 6-1 league loss to Cullman (Cullman, AL).
