The Fulton Steamers baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Mercer County Golden Eagles to 6 in the Steamers non-league victory on Monday.
The Steamers (5-2) will now prepare for their match against West Carroll (Savanna, IL). The Thunder go into the Northwest Upstate Illini - West match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, West Carroll was overwhelmed by Earlville (Earlville, IL), 13-2, in a non-league match.
The Golden Eagles (2-8) will now prepare for their match against Orion (Orion, IL). The Chargers go into the non-league match with a 9-3 record. In their last match, Orion tipped Sherrard (Sherrard, IL), 6-1, in a league match.
