The Griffith Panthers baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Monday.
The Panthers (3-1) will now prepare for their match against River Forest (Hobart, IN). The Ingots go into the Greater Southshore match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, River Forest was overwhelmed by Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN), 16-0, in a league match.
The Fighting Eagles (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN). The Vikings go into the Greater Southshore match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Illiana Christian ran past Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN), 10-0, in a league match.
