Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Singer Hornets (Singer, LA) and the visiting LaGrange Gators (Lake Charles, LA), saw Singer's baseball squad knock off LaGrange by a count of 17-6.

Coming up next, the Hornets play the Anacoco Indians (Anacoco, LA) in a B District 5 battle, on Tuesday, April 12. Singer will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 2-7 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Hornbeck (Hornbeck, LA).

The Gators now possess a 7-15 record. They take the field next when they host Washington-Marion for a 4A District 4 battle on Wednesday, April 13.
