Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Piasa Birds confront the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Tuesday, April 12. Southwestern will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Comets enter the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Jersey (Jerseyville, IL).
The Crusaders now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host North Mac for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 23.
