In Monday's non-league contest, the Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Laguna Creek Cardinals (Elk Grove, CA), by a margin of 23-10.

With the triumph, Franklin moves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Sheldon (Sacramento, CA) to play the Huskies in a contest on Thursday, April 14. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 4-8. Sheldon lost 10-9 in their recent league contest against St. Francis (Sacramento, CA)

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 15. Laguna Creek will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record.
