New York High School Lacrosse - Greenport-Southold-Mattituck held off by Port Jefferson

Port Jefferson Royals (Port Jefferson, NY) boosters exited the stadium content Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the visiting Greenport-Southold-Mattituck Porters (Greenport, NY), 12-11 in a league battle.
The Royals now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Islip for a Section 11 II battle on Thursday, April 14. Port Jefferson will clash with a Buccaneers squad coming off a 12-9 non-league win over West Babylon (West Babylon, NY). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-1.
In their next game, the Porters clash with the Kings Park Kingsmen (Kings Park, NY) in a Section 11 II battle, on Wednesday, April 13. Greenport-Southold-Mattituck will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Kingsmen come into the battle with a 2-4 record after their 15-6 league loss to Miller Place (Miller Place, NY).
